For Father's Day weekend Jeff went fishing with the guys.
So my mom and I decided that we would head on up to
Winnipeg and spend the night in a hotel poolside with the kids.
It was a lot of fun. The pool was great for small children
and the theme was perfect... dinosaurs!
We spent Friday swimming and for supper we
went to Mongo's Grill. The kids love that place!
All of the choices and guys throwing around
eggs and cups of rice.
Amazing!
Saturday morning we swam some more
and got ready for checkout.
Went to Perkins for breaky, did some shopping
and then we went home.
The fathers got home at about 5 ish and we
exchanged stories, had leftovers and then we were done.
Beat.
Finished.
Kaput.
Ready for a good nights sleep in our own beds.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time! Was the water freezing? The last time we went to this hotel, my kids all had blue lips within 20 minutes and we spent more time sitting in the hot tub than we did playing in the pool!!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say this is the Victoria Inn, by the airport. Really the only highlight was the pool. The customer service was awful and the beds were hard and the room was tiny. I think next time we'll just see how much it costs to use the pool and forget staying the night.
ReplyDeleteThe water was great! I could barely get the kids out to go for supper. (Aydan was cold though... from the second she got in... but she wouldn't get out!)
That is a sweet pool room! Glad you guys had a blast! Sending the Dads away for Father's Day is a great idea. :)
